can you change Q2 visa to z visa while in China

My husband who is Chinese, and I, an Australian citizen, are planning to return to China for a few years. I already have a Q2 visa. I want to know if I return to China, and then look for a job, once I find one can I switch from Q2 to Z visa while in China?

Danielle, yes, if you can get a job, it's possible to switch from Q2 to Z visa at the local exit and entry administration in China.
