About:Chinese Embassy in South Africa

Can I still get a Z work VISA, even if my passport has not been vailed for more then 6 months?

I received a job offer and my only worry is that I got my passport last month and the Chinese Embassy is still closed and I should be starting work in September

At the time of application, your passport should be valid for at least 6 months. Currently, the Chinese embassies in South Africa don't accept Z visa applications. Sorry for that:(
