About:How to Apply for a China Visa

My son is already in China and wanting to apply for college.

My son is already in China for more than 10 years. His visa is under our Z visa, but he just turned 18 recently. He is planning to enroll in Chinese University in another city in China. Will he need to exit first to get a student visa?

He can firstly try to convert his S visa to an X visa at the local exit and entry administration. Only if this is rejected, he need to exit to get a student visa.
