Knives in luggage to enter PVG airport

I am a chef and need to bring my kitchen knives in checked luggage from Shanghai to US. PVG airport security requires you to scan your luggage before entering the airport. Will I be able to get past security entrance to the airport with my kitchen knives?

Generally speaking, it will be ok for you to entrance the airport. But you need to put them in your checked luggage.
