My Visa Expires on Dec 19, and this job has been dragging their feet about my visa

I found this job about a month ago. I had a lot of other offers, even better than this one. But, this job was close to my home. At least his new school that he is opening is. I turned down offers because of that, but now I think I may have made a mistake. Now it's the 14th and my visa expires on the 19th. I'm on a humanitarian visa. He says to not worry about it, but now I am because I will have to pack up everything in a few days and make sure I have a ticket home on the 19th if he doesn't come through. What should I do?
