Am a student in china how can i change my student visa to a working visa?

If you have already got a job, you should first ask your employer to get a work permit for you, and then go to the local exit and entry administration to renew your residence permit by providing your passport, the work permit, application form, etc.0

I was told that it is possible to convert student visa into work one without leaving China, bun not in every city. For example in Nanjing and Shanghai it is possible, but not in Wuxi.
Shouldn't it be the same everywhere?0
