About:China Work Visa

Visa for job application

I would like to apply to teach in China in the coming 2021 and I came across this Z-visa requirement. Is this visa only given to people who are holding passports from English-speaking countries (e.g. Canada, America, UK, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa etc)? I am from Malaysia. Is there any other options that I can consider? Thank you.

Actually, foreigners from other countries can also get a Z visa, but in principle, only those people from English-speaking countries can legally teach English in China on a Z visa.

I see. In that case, do I still need to apply for a Z-visa as it is my intention to teach there? Or is there any other type of visa I can apply for that purpose?
