can i renew my chinese passport through china consulate in sydney now?

Hello, I am a permanent residence for many years. My passport already overdue last month. I was enquired how to get a renewal in before June 2020. I get an answer is I need to wait for the Consulate reopen.I enquire again if I could get my passport to renew soon?Kind Regards Yanyan

The consulate in Sydney has reopened to deal with some visa applications, but I'm not sure whether passport renewal application is accepted. You can call the consulate to find it out.
