Good day, I would like to know that if I get a job in China now would I be able to start work in J

I have applied for a teaching position and they said that i need to be in the country by 31 December 2020. I would like to know if this would be possible? (This would be my first time travelling to China) Are the borders open for people wanting to work in China and if not when will they be open.
