Legalization of Documents from the Philippines

I am currently in Cambodia and I have to get some documents legalized. Do I still have to present the original copy of my passport should I ask a representative in the Philippines to do it for me? Or is it OK for me to have all my documents from the Philippines to be legalized by the Chinese consulate here in Phnom Penh?

Dear, you cannot have your documents legalized by the Chinese embassy in Cambodia. You can ask a representative in the Philippines to do it for you.
