question on z-visa validity without residence permit

Question

Hi, I intend to travel to China on 15 Nov, and leave on 13 Dec. I have been granted a Z-Visa because of my company. However, I don't have time to get residence permit as I have to leave again on 13 Dec. Can you please let me know if it is okay for me to stay on my Z-Visa for less than 30 days, and I do not need to apply for the temporary residence permit? Thank you in advance for your advice.

Peggy, if you got this Z visa after March 28, 2020, you can use it to enter China, and you can leave on 13 Dec without applying for the temporary residence permit.

Nowadays after 28/09, how long does a company take to apply for the employment invitation letter before sending to us to get the Z visa at the Chinese embassy in Malaysia? Previously before covid19 was around 2-3 weeks in 1st-tier cities
