About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

Changing visa

I currently have a resident permit as a student but I’m done with school and my permit expires the end of September. I want to stay in China a bit longer but in a different city, Can I apply for a tourist visa or which visa am I eligible for if I want to stay for 3 months or less?

Before your residence permit expires, you can apply for a humanitarian visa at the local exit and entry administration, but this just allows you to stay in China for 30 days at most.
