Will I able to apply for Chinese Visa to get into the country now during the Pandemic?
My name is Fiona and I am US Citizen. I have the Hong Kong Identification card and Mainland Travel Permit for Hong and Macau Residents which I have no issue to entering to Hong Kong then China. I need to travel from Hong Kong to ShenZhen, China to visit my 84 years old father who is recently having some health issues. However, we are still middle of the Pandemic, I need to be quarantine for 14 days once I landed in Hong Kong. Then, I need to be quarantine additional 14 days when I enter Shenzhen from Hong Kong. That's almost an entire month before I can finally see my father.... I am trying to get a flight and fly into mainland China directly (either Shanghai or Shenzhen airport), so, I only have to be quarantined once for total of 14 days. In order to do so, I need to obtain the Chinese Visa to entry the country. Do you know if I can still apply for the entry visa in China now? Is there any new restriction to prevent foreigners to travel to China even if they have the Visa?
