About:Kunming Railway Station

Ask your advice

We are planning a trip to Dali and Lijiang and if possible Shangri-la, could you please suggest a train connection to us? We live in Shanghai now.

There are two high speed trains available from Shanghai to Kunming, the train rides take 11-12 hours and the second class seat is CNY879 per ticket. From my personal perspective, this train tip is too long and will be too tiring, you can take a flight instead, the airfare between Shanghai and Kunming, or Shanghai/ Dali and Shanghai/ Lijiang is sometimes lower than that of the train fare. The buses are available between Lijiang and Shangri-La, you can take trains between the three cities, Kunming, Dali and Lijiang.
