Dried wheat free pasta and instant coffee

My son has many food allergies and we are moving to China. Will I be allowed to take some of his wheat free pasta into China in our hold luggage? Will I be allowed to take instant coffee in my hold luggage

As I know, it would be fine if you put them into the checked luggage.
