About:Overstaying in China & Penalty

I am in Shanghai with a 10 year, 60 day duration Visa. I need to leave China to get my Visa stamped.

I know it will be difficult, if not impossible to exit and reenter from a near by country, as I have done in the past. I have been told that if I go to the US that my Visa will be suspended. Is having my Visa suspended correct information? If that is true is it a permanent suspension or just temporary until China resumes normal entry/exit procedures?

If you leave China now, you may not be allowed to enter currently, no matter you go to a nearby country or the the United States. This is a temporary situation until China resumes normal entry/exit procedures.
