Changing a Work Residence Permit to a Study Residence Permit

Hi there, I've been working in China for just over a year now. During this time I began to learn the language and now have a desire to study full time. I am a good chance to receive a 1 year scholarship to one of the universities here in Beijing. Since my current Residence Permit (Working) is due to expire in October, what and when steps would I need to take after I get my JW202 admission form and would they be able to change that at the local PSB? The university semester is due to start in September. If I was to go to the PSB say in August, with the JW202 letter would I also need to take some sort of permission from my workplace with me aswell? I don't want to have to leave the country (at this time foreigners are banned from entering) just on a technical thing like this.

John, you can convert your work residence permit to a study residence permit by submitting the documents used for applying a student visa. Your workplace just need to give you to the dismission certificate.
