Saving needed in bank to apply for student visa

Hello,
I'm a Malaysian
Going to apply for student visa.
but someone told me that i need a minimum amount of saving in bank to apply for student visa.
what is the amount needed in bank to apply for student visa(x1)?

Dear, according to the website of the CVASC in Malaysia, you don't need a bank saving to apply for the X1 visa. But you know, the JW 201 or 202 form is required for the visa application. I'm afraid you will be required to show a bank statement when applying for the form. You should contact your school to see if it's required or not.
