Ox Wife and Horse husband problems

I am an Ox and my husband is a Horse, we are at the brink of Divorce. Please tell me if I should file for divorce in this year or let him take the initiative? He is controlling and gets arrogant and stubborn. I want to make my own money and have a standing in relationship. Also, I want to take care of my dad. Please advise. Thanks
