Tourist Visa - Do I need to register at the local police station?

Traveling in China under a tourist visa and sometimes not staying at hotels. Do I need to register at the local police stations? And if so, what are the requirements?

Yes. Your host should bring their Resident ID Card and accompany you to the police station. You just need to bring your passport and your host.
