Retired American Wants To Move To China

Are there any provisions undre which a retired American to get a permanent residence permit

Not unless you are willing to invest a few million $. Right now you can get a tourist visa to visit 60 days at a time but you have to leave to a third country or territory every 60 days. As a non-Chinese national you cannot purchase properties in China.

Americans can get a 10 year visa which you have to renew every 60 days. Which you can do by going to Hong Kong and returning. Is that true ?
