Is it possible to apply for a humanitarian visa from the UK to allow me a short window of time to pack up my life in China? Or does anyone have any advice on a short term visa I can apply for that will allow me a quick re-entry into China to pack things up after my M type has expired?

Caitlin, you can apply for a short term tourist visa in from the visa application service centers in UK after all things clear up.
