About:Overstaying in China & Penalty

Travel blocked due to coronavirus

Currently flights out of the country are being cancelled. My next date until departure is march 16.
If i can't exit china because of the travel ban, what are my options for my visa?
If it makes a difference, I'm a US citizen staying in china to practice the language.

You can either file for an extension (which will probably result in the cancellation of your 10-year visa), or do a visa run to one of those countries which doesn't ban those who recently visited China. However the smart choice is to end your trip early and leave for the US via Canada as soon as possible (our Prime Minister just said he is not considering a similar ban).
