Is a 144 hour TWOV (Shanghai) possible if flight out is via Shenzhen?

We plan to travel to Darwin, Australia from London, via Shanghai. We would spend a day or 2 in Shanghai, then catch a plane to Shenzhen before taking a flight directly to Darwin (We wouldn’t leave Shenzhen airport) Would this be eligible for a 144-hour visa waver?

Sandra, the layover in Shenzhen makes you ineligible for the 144hrs visa-free transit.
