About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

72 visa free visit to china

On cruise from Singapore via Thailand,Vietnam, Hong Kong, Taipei,Japan & ending in Shanghai on 2 May 2020.We are booked into the Lv Shou Hotel for 2 nights . WE leave Shanghai via Shanghi Pu Dong (PVG)
on the 4th May 2020 flight LX189 at 9.30am
Do we need a full visa ?

No, as you are eligible for the 144h visa-free transit in Shanghai.

I am doing the same cruise and if I understand it right you have to arrive to the airport to get the 144 hour transit. Cruise ship arrival doesn’t qualify. I’ll be getting a full visa ,other wise they may not let you board the ship.
