About:Overstaying in China & Penalty

Expired Chinese visa

Hello. I have overstayed in China for 9 months. What I need to do? I have 10.000 RMB. I don’t want to go to the prison. Can I pay penalty for my overstay?

A fine in lieu of detention is at the discretion of the local public security organs and only when your case is not considered "serious".
