About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

24 hours transit

Hi! I just want to ask, my boyfriend who is a Mexican citizen will go to the Philippines (Mexico-Canada-Guanzhoung-Philippines) vice versa . He will be having 3 hours layover in Guanzhoung . Is he eligible?

Yes, of course. His itinerary is definitely eligible for 24 hour visa free transit and he doesn't need any kind of visa.

He will print out his flight tickets and have those printouts with him during his entire travel. Also, he will declare in both Mexico and Canada that he will travel to Philippines via Guangzhou using 24 hour visa free transit. After a short check of his flight tickets, he will be allowed to board the plane.

Upon arrival in Guangzhou, he will just clear a couple of formalities and proceed to his boarding gate for a flight to Philippines.

Please, remind him about the requirements the Mexican citizens have when transiting Canada.
