About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu

Hi. I am an Australian citizen. In August I will be on a NCL cruise around Japan which includes a 12 hour stopover in Shanghai and a 22 hour stopover in Beijing. I am wondering if I need a visa to enter these cities. I will be sleeping on the ship in each port. Thank you.
