About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Budapest>Xian>Shanghai>Bangkok

Hello,
I plan to take the Budapest-Bangkok flight. I will need to transfer planes in Shanghai but the plane only stops in Xian and I will not need to change planes there. Am I eligible to take this flight without applying for a Chinese visa?

As long as your transit time in China is under 24 hours, you don't need a visa.
