About:China Customs Declaration

Can I bring Ginseng Powder into China and declare?

I am bringing a 200g container of ginseng powder I bought from Canada, through transit in the US to China. The company I bought it from gave me an Export Permit to take during my travel, but I don’t know if they should be declared and if they are still allowed into China.

As I know, you can bring them. But it is suggested to put them into the checked luggage.
