Flight via China Southern Airlines - vizum

Hi we take a flight from Vienna to Manila, we have technic stop in Urumqi and then stopover in Guangzhou (app. 4 hours), we won't be in China more than 24 hours and the whole flight is on one ticket and one airline (China souther airlines). Do we need to ensure a visa? Thank you in advance

I heard about many people are in the same boat with you and they finally managed to transit in China without a visa, so I think you don't need a visa. Please confirm this with the airline.
