Flying Heathrow to NZ via Guanzhou with a hidden stop in Sanya will I need a Visa? transit time is

less than the 24hours. ANd the flight is booked direct with China southern heathrow to Guanzhou and Guanzhou to Christchurch

If your transit time is under 24h then you don't need a visa.
