About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Transit visa

Hi, I fly to New Zealand via China. I have stop in Beijing and then I fly to Chengdu (all stops less than 24 hours). But I have tickets from two different companies. Do I need visa? If do not, can I get out airports?

Check to be sure its less than 24 hours from schedule arrival in Beijing and scheduled departure in Changdu. If its less than 24 then you can do this without visa using more than one airline and ticket. Since there is a domestic china flight you will be granted temporary entry permit to leave the airport

It’s very usefull web site. There is a lot of confusion with China. For instanse, in general consulate said me wrong information. Your reply was proved by my air company. This is most important because first of all air company allows to get plane. Thank you very much!

Consulate only knows how to process visa requests so they don't know much about visa free transit
