You are definitely eligible for 24 hour visa free transit and you don't need a visa of any kind.
You will print out your flight tickets and have those printouts with you. Also, you will declare at check-in in Canada that you will travel to Dhaka via Guangzhou using 24 hour visa free transit. After a short inspection of your tickets, you will be allowed to board the plane.
Upon your landing in Guangzhou, you will apply for a temporary entry permit at 24 hour visa free transit counter to be allowed to exit the airport. You are advised to book an accommodation in advance and to bring with you a printout of a confirmation of your booking accommodation to increase your chances to be allowed to exit the airport. Anyway, you should be aware that the issuing of a temporary entry permit depends entirely on discretion of immigration authorities on a day of arrival.
