PCC/NCR For Work Visa Again?

I am legally and continuously living and working in China since 2013 and in the past 6 years i had a Working Visa, i quit my Job 4 months ago, presently on a Family Q2 Visa and still continuing living in China. (never left china)

I have accepted a new job in Shanghai with a Chinese Company and will be working from Jan 1st week 2020. Do i still need to get a PCC/NCR? (Police Clearance Certificate/No Criminal Record Certificate) to apply for work visa within china? i have never lived in any country except china in the last 6 years.

The PCC might be required when applying for your work permit. If required, you can ask the local police in the city where you stay to issue you.
