Do I need visa for stopping by Nansha China by cruise?

I intend to go on cruise in June from HK to Nansha China for 4 hrs then to Naha and Miyakojima Japan for 1 day. After 1 day at sea back to Nansha again for another 4 hrs then cruise back to HK the next day. Do I need visa for both entry to Nansha? I am holding Australian passport.

Stephen, is your itinerary:

Hong Kong - Nansha - Japan - Nansha - Hong Kong

Entirely on a single itinerary and performed by the same ship or we are talking here about two or even more separate cruises?

This is very important detail for us to know to be able to offer you a correct answer.
