Visiting Macao under Hong Kong visa-free policy

Hello, I'm Ukrainian. My itinerary is Ukraine - Beijing ( free-visa transit 144 hours) - Hong Kong (3 days )- ship to Macao ( 2 days ) - back by ship to Hong Kong and air out to Ukraine from Hong Kong.

Is it valid? Can I visit Macao for few days from Hong Kong? Because according to the Hong Kong policy:

where the application is for a transit visa/permit, he/she holds an onward ticket to the place of his/her destination unless the destination is the Mainland of China (the Mainland) or the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR).

You can, however immigration will want to see your ticket leaving Hong Kong.
