Your itinerary:

Basel - Munich - Shanghai - Amsterdam - Basel

If you have mentioned all your stops is definitely eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in Shanghai area.

You will print out your flight tickets and bring those printouts with you. Also, you will declare at check-in in Munich that you will travel to Amsterdam via Shanghai using 144 hour visa free transit. After a short inspection, you will be allowed to board the plane.

Upon your arrival in Shanghai, you will approach 144 hour visa free transit counter where you will fill out the blue form and shortly after, you will receive a sticker in your passport and you will be allowed to exit the airport. It is highly advisable to have booked at least the first overnight in Shanghai because when filling out the mentioned blue form, there will be a couple of questions regarding your accommodation in Shanghai area. So, bring a printout of your accommodation booking confirmation too.
