Eligibility for 144 hr exempt transit visa

Are we eligible for 144 hr excempt transit visa
Flying Adelaide 4/10/2020 Singapore to Xi’an
Flying Xi’an 5/10/2020 to Shanghai
Shanghai till 7/10/2020 cruising to Hong Kong

Unfortunately, you are not eligible for any kind of visa free transit in China. The reason is very simple. You will have two consecutive stops within mainland China and such an itinerary immediately limits you to 24 hours visa free transit. Since your itinerary is longer than 24 hours, you will have to obtain a Chinese tourist (L) visa in advance.
