About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

questions

hello I have some questions:

1- if I arrive in shangai airport from HK at 20:00 the 12 december, the 72 hours start the next day, therefore, from 13 at 00:00 to 15 at 23:59?

2- is it enough if i print my onward ticket to Philipines in A4 paper with seat confirmed?

3- if i am staying at my friends house and i don't have a hotel, what should i do?

4- do i have to go to a police station to register?

1. Shanghai replaced the 72h twov many years ago and you can stay up to 144h now.
2. You don't need confirmed seats, just a confirmed flight out of China.
3/4. If you stay private, you have to go to the police station to register yourself.

1-So with buying my flight outwards from shanghai within 144 hours is enough for me to get the transit visa without having to do prior checkin of that flight or confirm seats?

2- do I have to go to a specific police station or I can choose?

3- do I need to bring any documents?

4- does my friend that I will stay with also have to come?

Thank you so much!
