About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Travel Visa (Malaysia)

Hi, I am holding Malaysia passport. I am travelling to Austria through Beijing (Singapore Airport -> Beijing Airport -> Austria Airport), layover about 10 hours.
Would like to know whether am I entitled to get and free visa within this 10 hours? Hoping to go out from airport for a walk/food..

Unfortunately, Malaysian citizens are not eligible for any of visa free transit schemes at the time being. You are advised to obtain a Chinese visa in advance. You need a visa even if you remain within the transit area of Beijing airport. So, if you have already bought your tickets, you should apply for a Chinese transit (G) visa.
