About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do we need transit visa in hongkong we got 2 hrs transit while travelling nepal and 12:30 hrs back

Hey we are 3 Nepalese citizens student in Australia we booked a ticket to nepal but just got confused got its combined airlines of qantas and cathay dragon and we got transit in hongkong for 2 hrs while travelling to nepal and while back we got 12:30 hrs transit
We are not planning to go outside airport and we even checked transit visa application take 3 months but we travelling on 25 December what should we do ?

Yes, you need a double-entry transit visa to board both your flights even when not clearing immigration. Applying directly to HK immigration department and fax all documents to them before mailing so you can be sure the visa sticker arrives in a month. Details are on Hong Kong immigration's website.
