About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Transit at GuangZhou

Hi, I'm a Malaysia travelling to Kenya, will be transiting in GuangZhou for 36 hours. Do i need to apply for Visa beforehand? As it seems that Malaysia is not in the list of visa-free countries. Also do I still qualify fr the Free Accomodation?

Kishen, unfortunately, you will have to obtain a Chinese transit (G) visa in advance for your journey to Kenya via Guangzhou. Regardless of the fact that you will need a visa, you are definitely eligible for the free accommodation provided by the airline (I assume China Southern) you will use for your journey.
