I'm more than certain that Sumbal was thinking about Chongqing because Hainan Airlines is operating a service to/from Yangon and also to/from New York.

So, if I'm right, you don't need any kind of visa because your itinerary is perfectly eligible for 24 hour visa free transit in Chongqing.

You will print out your flight tickets and have those printouts with you. Also, you will declare in Yangon that you will travel to New York via Chongqing using 24 hour visa free transit. After a short inspection of your tickets, you will be allowed to board the plane. I assume that your luggage will be tagged all the way to New York, but I advise that you ask just for a case.

Upon his arrival in Chongqing you will shortly clear security and immigration checks and after that you will be allowed to wait for your New York bound flight at the boarding gate.
