About:Chinese Clay Figurine Museum

Malaysian Passport Holder

Will be flying to Dubai via CSAir and has 17hrs layover in Guanzhou. Do I need to have transit visa if will stay only within airport?

If I need to go on some sightseeing in the city for 17hrs, is a visa shall be required then?

Unfortunately, Malaysian citizens are not eligible for 24 hour visa free transit at the time being, so you will have to obtain a Chinese transit (G) visa in advance. I can just hope that this unusual circumstance with Malaysians being denied 24 hour visa free transit, will be soon over. Anyway, you should obtain a visa to be on a safe side.
