hi, i have Finnish passport but living in london and lm visiting Beijing only for 12 hour before my flight leaves to Sydney. do i need a china tourist visa?

No, the visa is not required. You can go out of the airport by applying for a temporary stay permit upon arrival, but whether you can get it depends on the immigration officer.
