About:Chinese Zodiac Compatibility

I am confused . I was born January 7, 1968. I was told My zodiac sign is A Monkey

I am confused. I was born January 7, 1968. I Was told my zodiac sign is a Monkey because 1968 is year of the monkey. But when i search my birthday, my zodiac sign is sheep. But sheep is 1967 not 1968. Pleas enlighten me. Thanks

The Year of the Monkey does not start on Jan 1 but on Jan 30, 1968. Since you are born Jan 7th, your Chinese Zodiac is the sign before which is Sheep.
