About:Policy for Foreigners with Immediate Family Living in China

I have family residence permit can I study?

Hi, I have a family residence permit and I want to study here in China. Is it possible? Or I need a student visa? Can I get X visa without leaving China? TIA

Isabel, if you want to study in China, you need to change your family reunion visa to student visa at the local Exit and Entry Administration.
