About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

72 Hour Visa

I was issued a 1 Entry Visa to enter China. I am scheduled to visit Guangzhou November 11/22 - 12/3. While in China I would like to visit Hong Kong and also Malaysia.

If I wanted to to travel to Hong Kong and Malaysia: 11/28 - 12/1 will I be permitted to re-enter Guangzhou for 72 hours before I depart on 12/3?

Riley, you have already asked and have also received an answer... Here is a c/p of the portion of the answer already given to you on your previous post:

"You can use your single entry visa for your first entry into China where you will stay for 6 or more days in Guangzhou and after that you can take a high speed train to Hong Kong.

After your stay in Malaysia, you will be definitely eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in Guangdong province under the assumption that your itinerary is:

Malaysia - Guangzhou - US

Of course, I also assume that you will not have any additional stops within mainland China.

To conclude, you can perfectly enjoy your trip with just a single entry visa.

By the way, 72 hours (3 day) visa free transit has been replaced in Guangdong province by 144 hour visa free transit in May of this year.
