I assume that you are thinking about a Shenzhen visa on arrival when arriving to Shenzhen from Hong Kong or Macau, right?

Unfortunately, the recent practice by Chinese immigration authorities shows that Malaysian citizens are ineligible for a Shenzhen visa on arrival. Also, this same practice shows that Malaysian citizens could obtain this visa, but only if they have been granted a Chinese visa previously by Chinese embassy or consulate. In any case, you are advised to obtain a Chinese visa in advance to travel with complete peace of mind.
